Medical & Dental Offices

Clean-looking floors matter more when patients are judging how clean everything else is.

Why floors matter in a practice

Patients notice floors. A scuffed, yellowed hallway or a dingy grout line in the restroom says something about the practice, even if the clinical side is spotless. Floors are also where a lot of the daily wear happens. Rolling stools, carts, wheelchairs and constant foot traffic all add up.

What I do for clinics

  • VCT strip and wax in exam rooms, hallways and waiting areas. Details
  • Burnishing between strips to keep a consistent shine. Details
  • Restroom tile and grout deep cleaning and sealing. Details
  • Stone or tile reception areas, cleaned and sealed.

No disruption to patients

All of this happens after hours or on days you're closed. I plan the order so the floor finish has time to dry and cure before your first appointment, and I'll walk through what's been done with your office manager.

Products and odor

Floor finishes and strippers have some odor while wet. Working after hours and ventilating takes care of most of it. If you have specific requirements for products, tell me during the walkthrough.

A note on scope

I handle floor care: stripping, finishing, burnishing, tile, grout and stone. I'm not a medical disinfection or biohazard service, and I won't pretend to be. Your regular janitorial provider handles daily cleaning, and I'm glad to work alongside them.

Dental, vet and specialty practices

Same idea. Dental operatories, vet clinics with VCT and lots of paws, and physical therapy floors all benefit from a set schedule. Ask about a maintenance plan.
