Summerlin floors
Summerlin is a big master-planned community on the west edge of the valley, built out village by village over several decades. That means the floors vary a lot by age. Older sections have more ceramic tile and early travertine. Newer villages lean toward large porcelain and stone. In between, there's a lot of travertine that's starting to show its age.
What the west side does to stone
Summerlin sits up against the mountains toward Red Rock Canyon, and the wind brings plenty of fine dust off the desert. That grit gets tracked in and works like sandpaper on polished stone. It's one reason I usually suggest a honed or satin finish on busy Summerlin floors. Read honed vs. polished.
Typical Summerlin jobs
- Open-plan first floors that need honing and hole filling to look even again
- Travertine pool decks and patios faded by sun and pool water
- Travertine and marble showers with hard-water buildup (marble)
- Pre-listing refreshes when homes go on the market (residential)
Communities within Summerlin
I get called to Red Rock Country Club and Sun City Summerlin often enough that they have their own pages.

Medical offices, retail and offices around the area need regular floor care too. See commercial.
