Anthem homes and their floors
Anthem sits up in the hills on the south side of Henderson. It's a large master-planned area that includes the Sun City Anthem active-adult community along with family neighborhoods and custom homes. Much of it went up in the late '90s and 2000s, when travertine was the go-to floor.
So a lot of Anthem stone is now old enough that the original sealer is long gone, holes are opening, and traffic paths are showing.
What I see most in Anthem
- Open holes along hallways and kitchens, collecting dirt. Hole filling
- Dull, uneven floors that need a hone to look consistent again. Honing
- Showers with hard-water scale on travertine or marble. Marble & stone
- Patios and pool areas facing the sun all day. Pool decks
For Sun City Anthem residents
I know a lot of homeowners here would rather not deal with moving furniture or being stuck out of a room for long. I work in sections, tell you exactly when you can walk on each area, and keep a clear path to the kitchen and bedroom. Small jobs, like one shower or the entry, are welcome too.
Views and sunlight
Hillside homes often have big windows, and strong afternoon light shows every scratch on polished stone. That's a good reason to consider a satin finish. More in honed vs. polished.
