Who's going to show up
I am. 1st Class Floor Restore is owner-operated, so the person who looks at your floor, gives you the price and does the work is the same person. You won't get a sales visit from one guy and a crew you've never met the next week.
I've spent years doing this by hand: stripping and waxing, running a buffer, burnishing, and sealing stone and floors. Over time, travertine turned into the work I like best. A tired travertine floor can look finished again by the end of a day or two, and the homeowner usually can't believe it's the same stone.
Why I started my own business
I got tired of seeing floors done the fast way. Too much topical coating on stone that should breathe. Strip jobs where nobody neutralized the floor, so the new wax peeled in a month. Grout "cleaning" that was really just a mop. I wanted to do it the way I'd want it done in my own house.
How I work
- I tell you what the floor actually needs. If cleaning and a fresh seal will do it, I won't sell you a full hone.
- You get a written price before I start. Per square foot, in writing.
- I protect your house. Baseboards, cabinets and carpet edges get covered. Stone honing is a wet process, so I keep slurry where it belongs.
- I explain the aftercare. What to mop with, what to never use, and when it'll need attention again.
About the name and the slogan
Success Shines, So Will Your Floors. I mean it pretty literally. When your business is doing well, your floors should show it. Same goes for your home.
